Throughout the communities where COMACO operates, existing structures that have become run-down and neglected are identified with community leaders to develop into storage facilities and marketing sub-stations to broaden the outreach of COMACO's trade benefits and services. COMACO currently has 36 such depots, many of which have HF radio communications with their respective trading centres. These efforts are creating a positive image for COMACO as a long-term partner in development, working to improve opportunities for residents to secure a better life while advancing ways to better manage and conserve natural resources. A critical part of the COMACO assets is its fleet of 12 trucks and 3 tractors to help collect commodities and deliver them to the CTCs for processing and packaging as well as onward transport for distributing It?s Wild! products to COMACO's distributors and retailers. This investment has allowed COMACO to operate independently of expensive trucking companies who are often unwilling to travel into the remote areas where COMACO operates. This has necessitated more than half of COMACO's trucks to be four-wheel drive, as well as to have well-equipped vehicle workshops at each of COMACO's trading centres.
